The Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc., New York City Chapter was launched in 2010 by Kendahl Lauren Lucas, daughter of Twelve Days of Christmas’ founder Gayla Gardner. Kendahl, along with six dynamic women hosted their inaugural holiday fundraiser, “Party with a Purpose”, which sponsored Christmas gifts and essentials for three local families. Since then, our annual holiday event has grown to host over 200 people in New York City’s most famed venues. As our annual holiday fundraising event has grown, so has our impact.

We are proud to be of service to over 100 children annually. We partner with trusted organizations, like local schools, to identify children with the most dire needs in our community. At Christmas, we provide wishlist items, like warm clothing, electronics, toys and even furniture to those children and their families. Since 2015, we’ve supported local classrooms, providing books and school supplies to teachers and students as they return to school each fall. As we celebrate year 15, we aim to build on the legacy of our founders by increasing our impact and spreading Christmas joy year-round to more children in our community.

Welcome to the New York City Chapter of Twelve Days of Christmas, Incorporated. I am proud to serve as the president of this dynamic chapter of women, who are not only committed to serving the community, but pioneers in their own respective fields and industries. It is an honor to work amongst such selfless, hard-working, successful and fun women.

The NYC Chapter serves children across all 5 boroughs of the city, most of whom are either living below the poverty line, in shelters or under some extenuating circumstance. Our goal is to help relieve the financial (and emotional) toll of major milestones, like Christmas and Back to School, for families who need it most. I am proud of the work that we are doing as a chapter, and even more proud of the way that we do it. I love that our organization is fully embedded in the end-to-end philanthropic journey: we raise money, purchase gifts, wrap the gifts that we purchase and deliver them to our chosen families. It's a hands-on, full-circle operation.

Since our chapter’s inception, we’ve raised thousands of dollars, enabling us to serve countless families annually… and we’re not done yet. As we celebrate our own personal milestone of 15 years, we aim to increase our impact throughout the city, serving more children this year than ever before.
