Detroit Chapter
Twelve Days of Christmas has been impacting our community since our inception in 2018. Our chapter has passionately worked to not only service and support Detroit Children of Promise but to grow our membership and create a more visible footprint in the Metro Detroit area. Our membership has grown from our five chapter charter members to our current thirteen members. Even though we are small in numbers we are mighty in our efforts to advance the mission of Twelve Days of Christmas, Inc.. We work diligently to impact our community by providing for families in need. Through our philanthropic efforts, we have raised funds from members of our community and major corporations. Since our inception, we have raised over $32,000 through fundraising events, sponsorships, and donations and provided gifts to over 100 children in our community. Our involvement in Twelve Days and our passionate commitment has allowed us to create a sisterly bond that will enable us to continue to grow our chapter and strengthen our community.
Greetings from the Motor City!! Since our inception in 2018 and growth from 5 to 13 amazing Hostesses we have graciously served the Detroit community. I appreciate the trust I have been given with this opportunity to lead these phenomenal women. I feel humbled and blessed to serve my Detroit chapter and my community. We have succeeded in helping our community via fundraiser efforts, our annual party, donations, and corporate sponsorships. In 2022, just a few of our accomplishments included securing a $2,500 COVID-19 Emergency Relief Grant which assisted families with financial literacy and technology requirements for virtual school needs. We also donated classroom and literacy supplies to faith-based youth development organization, Wellspring Detroit, and donated funds to Gleaners Food Bank for their Thanksgiving Food Drive. Our goal for 2023 and beyond is to reach higher heights by supporting our philanthropic endeavors, because:
“Philanthropy just feels right!
For children.
For Families.
For Communities."
